Classroom Aquatics


Set up your own catch and release mini aquarium for your school with the help from our expert aquarists. We believe curiosity and understanding is the first step towards caring and protecting your local marine area. This interactive workshop is aimed at improving knowledge of the animals living in your coastal waters. Discover which habitats are best for them, what they love to eat and who's king of the tank after a few weeks, all from the comforts of the classroom. It will also teach children about responsibility, and by caring for the creatures on their doorstep the children could gain a wider respect for the oceans and nature as a whole.

Learning outcomes:

To learn about species which live in your local environment, how they fit into the food chain, the habitats that creatures prefer, and how to best care for them in small aquaria.

Cost: £120 (not including travel expenses)

Restrictions: To ensure adequate care of creatures, your school needs to be within a couple miles of the coast. Please contact us to discus possibilities at your school.
