Dive into the mysterious world of the rocky shore. Discover the weird and wonderful plants and animals that live on our seashore and how they have adapted to living in this challenging environment.


The group normally meets the Aquarium guide at Calgary Car Park before a short walk takes you the best rockpooling site in the Bay. All relevant health and safety information is given to the children before heading out onto the rock pooling area. All necessary equipment is provided by the Aquarium. We are able to provide rockpoling sessions at other locations, please contact us to discuss this further.

Learning outcomes:

To learn which species live in rock pools, how they fit into the food chain and the habitats those creatures prefer.

Cost: £3.60 per student (Minimum charge £40)
